The agreement was signed by Economy Minister Goran Knezevic and CEO, Gilles Bernard.
Bernard told reporters that the investment totals over RSD 30 million, and the plan is that in the next ten years 1,250 people are employed.
The Government will, otherwise, provide EUR 6,800 per worker, and the construction of the factory will begin in June or July 2017.
IME was set up in
the Philippines in 1980, and in Niska Banja it will produce components for the automotive industry and high technology.
It
will be the 15th factory in
the eighth country in the world, Bernard said.
- We do not bring just money and new technology but also new values. We have long-term plans. We plan to employ more than 1,200 people who will be part of a community which has 17,000 workers – Bernard said.
