"Progres" plans to have 11 times larger profit in first half of year 2008

Belgrade-based company "Progres" plans to realize profit in amount of 8.35m RSD in the first half of this year, which is 11 times more than during the entire year 2007.

The projected incomes for the first half of year 2008 amount to 430.57m RSD.

"Progres", which deals with trade in fuels and financial mediation, had the profit from regular operations in amount of 753,000 RSD in 2007 and the profit in amount of 625,000 RSD on the basis of incomes worth 779.18m RSD. The incomes of "Progres" amounted to 1.27 billion RSD in 2006.


Privatization Agency of Serbia announced the tender for sale of 45.86% of company "Progres" on May 9, and the deadline for submission of obligatory bids is July 11, 2008.

According to the data from the Belgrade Stock Exchange, "Progres" has 5.39m stocks that entered the trading in August 2005, and the market value of the company is 2.45 billion RSD.

"Progres" has 8,526 square meters of premises in Belgrade, 7,600 square meters of which are offices in Zmaj Jovina Street in Belgrade and 20,196 square meters in Krnjača.

"Progres" also owns property in former Yugoslav republics - 2,386 square meters of office space in Zagreb, a villa at 427 square meters in Mali Lošinj in Croatia, 322 square meters of office space in Sarajevo and 44 square meters of office space in Skopje.
