The latest Forbes list of billionaires does not include anyone from the countries in the region

The latest list of world's richest people was published March 21 and it comprises billionaires from our wider environment from the Czech, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Austria, as well as businessmen from Italy, Greece and Spain.

Once the list comprised Miroslav Miskovic at the zenith of its power and wealth of about EUR 6 billion, according to Forbes. He was later overtaken by Croatian businessman Ivica Todoric, owner of Agrokor, whose assets, according to estimates from 2014, are worth about EUR 3.4 billion and two other Croats - Branko Roglic, owner of Orbico Group and Emil Tedeski, owner of Atlantic Group.

Otherwise, two years ago, Forbes distanced from full precision of the list for the Balkan region. As they stated then "many entrepreneurs, especially in Serbia, are hiding the country where they have money so it is impossible to trace all".

The List for 2017, according to the Forbes, is record because it contains 13% more billionaires than a year ago.

Now, the list comprises 2.043 billionaires, while in the previous year there were 1.810. Their overall fortune increased by 18%, to record USD 7.670 billion – the magazine stated.
