Jaffa acquires Banini for initial price of RSD 1,86 billion

Let’s remind that documentation to participate at the auction for the acquisition of Banini plant was purchased by four companies e - Industrija mesa Matijevic from Novi Sad, Galenika Fitofarmacija from Belgrade, Bambi iz Požarevca i Jaffa from Crvenka.

The Commercial Court in Zrenjanin decided to sell ry Banini because it has been in bankruptcy since April last year at the request of Societe Generale bank. This bank asked to start bankruptcy to collect its receivables of about EUR 15 m because otherwise it was unable to repay borrowed money.

The problems of this factory began in 2010 when Banini borrowed from banks in order to build a new plant on Teremijski drum. Soon, high rate loans that were constantly increasing started coming so the factory was increasingly slipping into debt that has led to bankruptcy.
