Ukrainians interested in Priboj-based "FAP" - possible cooperation and participation in privatization

After the Government of Serbia offered cooperation and strategic partnership with Priboj-based manufacturer "FAP" to the representatives of German company "Mercedes", on the basis of the model of cooperation between Kragujevac's "Zastava" and Italian "Fiat", the activities concerning privatization of our largest factory of economic vehicles have been intensified lately.

The CEO of FAP, Mirko Stojović, confirmed that the talks were underway with certain Ukranian factory of transportation means, which is willing to cooperate and participate in privatization.

The first contacts with them were established at recently ended International Fair of Commercial Vehicles where FAP, in addition to the trucks equipped with "Mercedes" and "MAN" engines, presented two buses, one of which was equipped with "Cummins" engine that uses natural gas as a driving fuel.

However, Stojović points out that they still maintain contacts with possible partners from Europe and Russia, but that Ukrainians expressed the most serious interest, so that we can expect to see some more concrete moves from their side very soon.
