AGROKOR: We are in search of new business model but our existence is not questionable

On Sunday (March 19, 2017), Agrokor stated that the management of this Croatian company, along with key investors, is working on a new company business model and that the position and existence of Agrokor is not a question.

According to Hina, Agrokor sent a statement to media "due to a variety of information, including a large number of incomplete or incorrect which can create a distorted picture of the company and the position in which it is."

- Management of the company, together with key investors, is working on re-positioning system and a new business model which will protect the interests of all its shareholders, taking into account primarily employees and their workplaces, suppliers and partners, where Agrokor will fulfill all its commitments – it was stated in the letter sent to media.

According to Agrokor, selected model will soon be presented to all key partners and employees.

- Agrokor will be accept only the model that would not go at the expense of our employees and suppliers and which will fully protect their interests, and which is in line with our investors – it was communicated in the statement.Hina communicates that representatives of Agrokor’s, Kras company’s, Vindija’s , Dukat’s, Podravka’s and Frank’s suppliers should meet to agree on the strategy for future action when it comes to Agrokor.
Previously, Jutarnji list reported that Sberbank and other crucial creditors of Agrokor are not planning to take over that Croatian concern but that they want operational control over its management.

Creditors will meet to discuss nomination of their representatives in the governing bodies of Agrokor, Maksim Poletajev, the first deputy director of Sberbank communicated for the Bloomberg agency.

He added it would probably be reasonable to sell some assets that are not part of the core business and at the same time start looking for an investor.
