MOL makes RSD 987.6 million in net profit in Serbia – Company to invest USD 10 million in gas stations in 2017

The company MOL Serbia made a net profit of nearly a billion dinars in 2016, more precisely, RSD 987.6 million.

– Ever since making a record profit in 2015, which was a turning point of sorts in our operations, we have been setting high goals for ourselves and trying to successfully meet the demands of the market. I would like to point out that MOL Serbia is currently the biggest importer of fuel in the market of Serbia, which means that we provide our customers with 100% European fuel, coming from MOL refineries. Furthermore, we are now the second biggest participant in the whole petroleum product market in Serbia with a share of 20% – says Bianca Vasilescu, CEO at MOL Serbia.

The last year was very successful for the MOL Group as well. The initially set goal of USD 2 billion for 2016 was far exceeded, with CCS EBITDA amounting to USD 2.15 billion.

Representatives of MOL Serbia agree with the Group’s message that 2016 was a year of transformation and looking to the future, as the long-term strategy “MOL Group 2030” was adopted, the realization of which will trace the company’s further business path.

The company also announces big investments.

– MOL Serbia plans to open six gas stations in 2016, in which USD 10 million will be invested – Vasilescu said.

She pointed out at the press conference that the company was ready to open even more gas stations, provided the adequate business conditions.

As she explained, the company will not only invest in gas stations. Other investments are also being planned, and the optimistic projections say that a total of USD 25 million in investments might be reached.

MOL opened its first gas station in Serbia in December 2005, and now there are 53 of them.
