Representatives of Chinese companies visit Krusevac – Potential cooperation in infrastructure, thermal energy, arms industry...

Representatives of 12 Chinese companies operating in Serbia and the region, headed by Ambassador of China Li Manchang, talked to representatives of the City of Krusevac and the managements of several local companies about potential cooperation, above all in the fields of infrastructure, thermal energy, green energy, arms industry and tourism.

– I had brought 12 Chinese companies from various fields. We had great talks and our companies expressed interest and desire to start cooperating with the city without delay – Manchang said.

Following the first official contact, as he said, he expects further exchange of information to take place and that partners from Krusevac will present the projects they believe might be carried out in cooperation with the Chinese companies.

– Around 20 big Chinese state companies currently operate in Serbia, and the number of privately owned ones is even bigger. Around USD 3 billion has been invested in Serbia. Last year, Hesteel invested USD 130 million in equipment alone in Smederevo and it will invest another USD 120 million in 2017. We expect this to be a year of large investments – Manchang said.

As said at the meeting, the companies whose representatives visited Krusevac on March 15 operate throughout the world, producing equipment for thermal power plants, building infrastructure, roads, bridges, industrial zones, railway infrastructure and working in the field of green energy, which are the fields in which they are interested in cooperating with partners from Krusevac.

The Chinese delegation visited the facilities of the Rubin factory, Fabrika Maziva, Tehnogradnja, as well as Ribarska Banja.
