MK group announced that during 2008 they would invest in their companies in Serbia more than 20,5 mil EUR

Serbian MK group announced that this year they plan to invest more than 20,5 mil EUR in technological improving of agricultural production of its own companies in Serbia.

Assistant president of this group, Jaroslav Stupavski, stated at Novi Sad fair, that MK group was introducing irrigation system for 1.000 hectares, worth 2 mil EUR, and that they were investing around 15 mil EUR in construction of glasshouses on the area of 20 hectares.

Besides that, MK group is equipping fruit yards of Agrounija company in Kula, with most modern anti-weather network and irrigation system worth 3,5 mil EUR.

- Thanks to continued investments, expected total income from agricultural production in this year could be 37 mil EUR, and expected profit 8,2 mil EUR – said Stupavski.

MK group as a holding company in Serbia is presently managing 31 company, with more than 3.000 employees, and during fall works of 2007 and first 4 months of this year, it invested into agriculture a total of 9 mil EUR.
