– The previous invitation was meant to show what the initiatives of the companies interested in PKB are in the first place. There are eight such bids. We will now call the first binding invitation – Nedimovic said.
He said that they would consider the model afterwards, but the the Ministry of Agriculture insisted on keeping livestock farming a part of the system and for the company not to be divided up.
– The Ministry of Economy is carrying out the procedure and we will help as much as we can – the Minister of Agriculture added.
As reported earlier, eight investors have sent letters of intent for the privatization of PKB. Those include a natural person from Kovin, two companies from Serbia – Industrija Mesa Matijevic and MK Group, Al Dahra from UAE, as well as companies from China, Singapore and two British companies. Their names are confidential.
The letters of intent are not binding, nor does not submitting such letters in any way eliminate the possibility of taking part in the further procedure of the privatization of PKB, the Ministry of Economy explained.
