Danish company EMI, the only owner of “Futura plus” – WAZ withdrew and bought “Stampa”


“Futura plus” announced yesterday (May, 7th, 2008) that Danish company, “EMI” had become the only owner of Futura.
As it was announced, German WAZ, after several months negotiations sold 50% of their share in the Serbian trade company “Futura plus” and bought 100% of share capital in the companies “Stampa system”, “Stampa press”, “Stampa komerc”.
German media concern stated that one of the reasons for sale was that they had to respect Serbian cartel rights.
“Futura plus” has been in the ownership of German media company, WAZ and Danish “EMI” group, since 2004.
“Futura plus” is the largest Serbian newsstand chain and distributor of printed media. It owns 1200 sale objects and 800 clients objects. It has 3500 employees.
