Belgrade “Eurosong” hall will get its new looks – final works in “Arena”

“Belgrade arena”, which has been turned into a construction site these days, is beginning to get its shape for “Eurosong contest” which is being held from May, 20th-24th, at this location. The first phase of works is almost finished, which means that the stage, the screen and the lightning system are almost set. Yesterday, pyrotechnics arrived, and the scene is waiting for the final touches.

In the second phase of preparation works, which starts from May, 11th, there will be rehearsals of the performers, with engagement of 2.000 people, while the final, third phase, which will include program for the audience, and starts on May, 19th.

- At this moment, there are three shifts in setting up of the final version of the scene . We have finished tests for the sound system; we have done a complete power system with 6 mega vats (which is the capacity of entire New Belgrade); lightning design from Sweden has already been set. The technique of the scene arrives from Ukraine, and report car and sound car, with 98 tone channels came from Sweden – says Darko Kamarit, TV producer on RTS, who added that presently 200 people are involved in Arena, and final works are almost finished.

- Already on May, 9th and 10th we will be having technical tests in order to be prepared for the hosts, who will be having their own rehearsals after that, and from May, 11th, all delegations will have their turns – added Kamarit, pointing out that the is very pleased with the works development, there are no delays in preparation phase.

Soon, Sava center will also start with preparations, as it will be used as a press center for news reporters, and as it was announced soon will be started works on decoration of entire Belgrade, as in anticipation of this music manifestation. Contest of the first semi-finals group will be on May, 20th, while the second semi-finals is schedule for May, 22nd, and the final night is on May, 24th.
