Slovakia's aid in amount of 1.9m EUR for projects for development of civil society, technical infrastructure and Serbia's approaching EU


Serbian Minister of Finance, Mirko Cvetković, and Ambassador of Slovakia to Serbia, Igor Furdik, have signed the Memorandum today (May 6, 2008), which anticipates supply of aid in amount of 1.9m EUR by that country for the projects for development of civil society, technical infrastructure and Serbia's approaching European integrations.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Finance, the Memorandum
represents the financial management framework for realization of the Agreement on development cooperation between the Government of Serbia and Government of Slovakia.
So far, four financial memoranda have been signed and Serbia has got 5m EUR worth of aid from Slovakia.
These funds were used to back projects in field of environment protection, health care and social support, traffic and improvement of local infrastructure, as well as transfer of experiences and support to Serbia's integration processes through training of the government administration.
