Mine "Lece" to be put into operation - 200 miners to be hired

The owner of concern "Farmakom MB" from Šabac, Miroslav Bogićević, who recently bought lead, zinc, silver and gold mine "Lece" near Medveđa, said yesterday (May 5, 2008) that he would hire 200 miners to work in that mine as soon as he got papers from the Privatization Agency. This mine has been closed since year 2002.

- Hiring of workers will start very soon and 200 miners will be employed in the first phase. I am sure that this region will benefit much from this and that the living here will be much nicer. We plan to have one facility built in Medveđa for accommodation of workers and guests from abroad, since there will be plenty of them, because we are negotiating with several global companies about cooperation - said Bogićević at the press conference organized in association with Mayor of Medveđa, Slobodan Drašković.
