Backa Topola to get Football Academy worth EUR 9.5 million – Construction of central stadium and 4 auxiliary courts announced

A Football Academy will be built in Backa Topola soon, thanks to a donation of EUR 9.5 million by the Hungarian Football Federation.

The donation is meant for TSC Backa Topola for the purposes of forming and raising facilities for the Football Academy, where many young football players will get a chance to develop, and where training courses for coaches from the neighboring places will be held as well.

As reported by the FC TSC Backa Topola, the donation will be used to build the central court, i.e. a new stadium, along with the side facilities. The academy will also feature a fully equipped gym, a sauna, as well as a room for monitoring training load. Four auxiliary courts will be built as well, of which three featuring astroturf. One court will be covered during winter seasons. The academy will be able to accommodate around 40 children, which will also be provided with adequate food, the press release says.

The Hungarian Football Federation has been aiding the development of football in other countries of the region for years, the press release reminds.

The owner of the main sponsor of TSC Backa Topola, the company SAT-TRAKT, and board member of the Football Association of Serbia, Janos Zemberi, pointed out that the Football Academy would be the central place for further popularization of football in Backa.

The works on all facilities of the Football Academy are planned to be completed within two years. The donation will also be used to help around ten clubs in the Backa Topola area to improve their infrastructure and operations, the press release says.

The aim of TSC Backa Topola is to improve the conditions for working with young football players through the realization of this project, so that they could progress as much as possible close to their homes.

In general, the Football Academy is supposed to lead to the development of talented football players and football infrastructure in Vojvodina and Serbia in the long term. TSC Backa Topola celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. Their general sponsor is the Backa Topola-based company SAT-TRAKT d.o.o. Many famous football players started their careers in the club, among them Laslo Lerinc, Zvezdan Terzic, Zlatko Krmpotic, Nikola Zigic, Andirja Kaludjerovic, as well as member of the national team of Serbia Dusan Tadic.
