New president of Administrative Board of Societe generale bank - Goran Pitić

Former Minister of International Economic Relations Goran Pitić was represented in Hyatt hotel as the new president of the Administrative Board of Societe Generale Bank in Serbia.

He said that he saw the new job as the logic extension of the professional career after so many years he spent in the Government, which was the expert team he entered as the professor of economy and director of financial affairs in company Deloitte & Touche. Pitić announced that his field of responsibility would be work with the companies, i.e. investment banking.

He estimated that the lowering of obligatory reserves for foreign currency deposits was one of the best moves for reduction of high interest rates in banks. Pitić is of the opinion that the key question in the following weeks will be finding of optimal relation between fiscal and monetary policies. He praised improvement of credit rating of Serbia, but he also added that that did not mean great opening of the doors for flood of the investments because it required passing of the key system laws, restructuring of economy and maintenance of macroeconomic stability.
