These are the places with the biggest traffic jams in the world

Research by the international company INRIX shows that the biggest traffic jams in 2016 could be seen in Thailand, where drivers had to wait for a total of 61 hours on average, Anadolija reports. Next on the list are Columbia and Indonesia, with 47 hours each. The fourth and the fifth spot belongs to the USA and Russia, with 42 hours each.


Venezuela (39 hours), South Africa (38) and Brazil and Puerto Rico (37 hours each) follow. The tenth place belongs to Turkey, where drivers and passengers waited for 34 hours on average.

When it comes to individual cities, Los Angeles placed first, with 104 hours, followed by Moscow (91) and New York (89). The fourth spot belongs to San Francisco, where drivers waited for 83 hours on average, followed by Bogota, with 80 hours.

As for Europe, jams in London were reduced, and the city placed seventh, whereas a year earlier it placed first. In 2016, drivers in London waited for 73 hours on average.

The research is carried out in 38 countries and 1,064 cities.
