Microsoft presented web browser Virtual Earth

Microsoft has presented local Web browser that is similar to the one available on Google.

Its name is Virtual Earth and it offers services similar to Google’s browser Maps. The user of the browser can check the satellite recording of some city, find the street they are looking for or get the instructions for drive on the shortest way between the two cities. Also, the browser offers data on restaurants and hotels.

Starting from September, the side view of the building will be available, so that the users of the browser will see more than they see when looking at the satellite photo of the roofs of the buildings. Besides, thanks to Virtual Earth, the users of the wireless networks will be easy to locate by use of Wi-Fi access point.

Application Microsoft Location Finder, which is developed in cooperation with the manufacturers of the equipment for wireless networking, will be used fro that purpose. (www.mikro.co.yu)
