Acting Director of the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport Sasa Vlaisavljevic stated on February 24 that 400 airport workers had been permanently employed by the decision of the Government of Serbia.

He said that another 200 workers had been permanently employed before that, meaning that the number of permanently employed workers at the airport had grown to 600 in just a few months.

– These people, who are very important for the airport’s functioning, have worked for nearly 20 years through youth organizations, without the right of vacation, recourse, free days – he said.

Vlaisavljevic thanked the Government of Serbia for helping solve the problem of employees at the Belgrade Airport.

The employee union at the airport held a protest at the airport’s parking lot on February 13, asking for workers of many years to be given permanent employment contracts.
