Members of the City Council of Cacak have adopted amendments to the part of the general regulation plan of Preljina pertaining to the location currently featuring a hippodrome, along with the immediate surrounding area. This was done in order to enable the establishment of an industrial zone on the 18.11 ha parcel.

– The state will invest more than RSD 200 million this year, in electricity, in the substation, the bypass route, the access road, telecommunications, an optical cable, gas supply. Our obligation as the city is to set aside funds from the budget, and we’re talking about RSD 25 million here for our public utility enterprises for the purposes of equipping the zone – said Mayor of Cacak Milun Todorovic.

The council members have also defined a draft decision on turning the parcel at the Preljina hippodrome into public ownership through direct purchase from the equestrian club Milenko Niksic.

This way, the local self-government is taking over the obligation of paying compensation in the amount of RSD 90 million towards the previous owners of the real estate.
