Unit for drying fruit and vegetables opened in Zrenjanin-based "Žitohem"

The unit for drying fruit and vegetables was opened in "Žitohem" in Zrenjanin on Thursday (April 24, 2008). Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development approved loan in amount of 26m RSD for its construction.

The manager of the unit, Dušanka Đukić, said that apple chips, as the first product without fat and additives, would be one of the products in the broad assortment of healthy food.

IN addition to its own apple and apricot orchards at 40 ha, "Žitohem" will be getting healthy organic fruit and vegetables from numerous collaborators in Mid-Banat region.
