Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic has announced that “a large number of people” from the Academy of Police Studies (KPA) and the basic police training course will be employed by the police from March 1 till April 1, 2017.

Without specifying the number, Stefanovic said at the ceremony held on the occasion of the Day of KPA that the Serbian police could stand shoulder to shoulder with the best police forces in the world and that there were therefore requests from other state to have its policemen trained in Serbia in special units, at the Academy and in various courses.

He advised the KPA graduates not to be complacent with the knowledge they had acquired, but to keep on learning and developing, as the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had established a career advancement system, so that only the best would come through.

– What you need to do now is to develop, go through certain educational courses and get realistic grades in line with clearly defined criteria, so that you can keep on advancing – he explained.

Stefanovic emphasized that the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs makes sure that “those who are the best, those who fight the hardest, should become officers and lead the police forward”.
