(Illustration) The City Council of Kragujevac has adopted a program of utilization of the credit from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the procurement of new trucks and waste collection equipment in the amount of RSD 300 million, as well as the decision on authorizing the program of the utilization of subsidies by JKP Cistoca for 2017, the city's website says.

In line with the contract with EBRD, Cistoca is renewing its rolling stock by acquiring 11 garbage trucks and two specialized vehicles, a grapple truck and a skip loader. Furthermore 2,000 metal waste containers and 3,200 plastic waste baskets will contribute to maintaining a higher level of hygiene in the city.

The effects of investing in the procurement of new trucks and equipment for waste collection are expected to be evident through reduced current and investment vehicle maintenance expenses, increased efficiency of utility services, increased scope and quality of services and citizens' satisfaction, the city's website says.
