Humanitarian organization "Divac" collected over 1m EUR for refugees

- Within the scope of campaign "You can do it", humanitarian organization "Divac" has collected more than 1m EUR over the past six months for resolving of housing problems of refugees and displaced families accommodated in collective centers - said the CEO of that organization Ana Koešal.

At yesterday's (April 21, 2008) press conference, she pointed out that it was the greatest humanitarian campaign on the territory of Serbia. In association with UNHCR, Republic Refugee Commissariat and Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, humanitarian organization "Divac" currently implements three projects, thanks to which refugees and displaced familities will get rural households.

According to the words of the CEO of "Divac", total of 10 refugee families will get rural households within the scope of the first project, and they should be able to move into their new homes in June.

President and founder of Humanitarian organization "Divac", Snežana Divac, pointed out that campaign "You can do it" would not be finished until all 6,000 people currently accommodated in the refugee collective centers obtained homes.
