German KGAL Group entering regional market through Triglav – Joint investment management company founded

Slovenia's Zavarovalnica Triglav signed an agreement with KGAL Beteiligungsverwaltung GmbH (KGAL Group) on the founding of the TRIGAL business entity on February 2, 2017. The new business entity, as stated, marks the start of the project of establishing a new regional platform meant for alternative investments.

The newly founded company will initially have assets in the amount of EUR 1 million, of which EUR 499 thousand by Zavarovalnica Triglav as a founder deposit.

The platform aims to gather funds from institutional investors and have them invest in real estate, infrastructural projects and other alternative investments, primarily in the Adriatic region.

KGAL Group is a specialized investment manager, which manages funds in the amount of close to EUR 22 billion. This group offers its services to insurance houses, pension funds and institutional investors in Germany and other European markets.

The newly founded company will be providing advisory and operating services to its investors and organizing for them investments in funds of various managers. The establishment of the regional platform for alternative investments is a part of the Triglav Group's strategic orientation by 2020 to the end of further strengthening property management as the other key activity of its operations in the Adriatic region.
