– For us, transit means large amounts of money, and Serbia is a transit country and the shortest way to Western Europe. We should try to have freight vehicles choose Corridor 10 across Serbia instead of Corridor 4 across Bulgaria and Romania – said Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic.
She reminded that the vehicles passing through Serbia went through two customs checks at the border, whereas the government worked on establishing a single mutual point, which would speed up the transit of vehicles, as they, for example, spent several hours on the Hungarian border at the moment.
The minister said that the mutual border crossing was already being worked on within the project of the construction of the Ljubovija-Bratunac bridge, and that the project had also been discussed during the visit of the Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, to Serbia.
