Qatari investors interested in privatizing spas in Serbia?
President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic emphasized on January 30 in his talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani that there were more than 30 spas in Serbia undergoing the process of privatization and that the participation of Qatari companies in the process might be an ideal way of initiating the cooperation between the two countries.
He added that Serbia had gotten positive reports by international financial institutions, such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, confirming that the country was absolutely safe for foreign investments and that the possibilities of investment are vast.
Al-Thani said that his visit to Serbia was a result of this November’s talks between the president of Serbia and the Qatari emir, when Nikolic had invited Qatari companies to invest in Serbia.
He emphasized that Qatar was interested in cooperation in numerous fields, such as the arms industry and high technology.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar added that the conditions for cooperation between the two countries were very favorable, as there was already a foundation based on several bilateral agreements.
