Usluga from Backa Topola doubles export to Netherlands – Funeral equipment producer planning investments of EUR 500,000 in 2017

The Backa Topola-based enterprise Usluga a.d. is satisfied with its operating results in the past period and is therefore planning investments of at least at least half a million euros in production development in 2017, along with an increase of export, the company announces.

The funeral equipment manufacturer has already invested a million euros in enhancing the production, expanding the range of products and installing new production lines in the past period. As a result of these investments, Usluga increased its exports to the Netherlands by 100% in 2016, and they are planning another increase by 100% in 2017.

Usluga also opened new wood drying facilities in 2016, in order to be able to guarantee product quality and increase the production capacities necessary for a growth of export. It also counts among its results socially responsible conduct, above all through developed environmental awareness, as shown by its use of the by-product, sawdust, for the production of pellets.

As stated in the company's report, Usluga meets its obligations to the state and the workers, of which there are currently 97, on time and believes that this way of doing business is the only one leading to long-term positive results.

In late 2016, the enterprise got a new management, and Vladica Cvetkovic, landscape engineer with experience in managerial positions, was appointed executive director.

– I arrive to the company at the moment when it has already made significant results, which makes my task that much more challenging. I believe that we will succeed in further enhancing them in the year ahead of us – Cvetkovic said.
