eKapija awarding investment of the year in Serbia – Nominate a project for Aurea 2017 award

As part of its efforts to promote projects benefiting a sustainable development of the Serbian economy, eKapija will be handing out awards for the investment of the year in Serbia this year as well – Aurea 2017.

We invite all companies who realized projects meeting the criteria for the award in 2016 to apply. The nomination contest is open until March 3.

Nominated projects need to have been realized in 2016, and they will be rated by three criteria – innovation/originality, social usefulness and financial potential.

The amount of funds invested is not the deciding factor. Instead, projects are ranked based on the originality of the innovation implemented, the significance to the environment, as well as the potential to be successful in the market. All industries are treated equally, as well as all kinds of projects, and the implementation of new processes/technologies, development or implementation of original software, offering a new product or coming up with a new approach to the market are all equally valid.

Zdravko Loncar, Managing Director of eKapija, says that constant changes and innovations are crucial to the success in business and that the values promoted by this award are important for a sustainable economic development of Serbia.

– The usual practice is to award distinguished individuals. With this award, which is mostly handed out to business entities, we celebrate good ideas, team work and responsibility towards the society and the environment. We want to send a message to the community that constant innovation is necessary in order to overcome the obstacle of our economy’s not being competitive, but also to say that it pays off to be responsible – whether regarding environmental protection or contributing to a better life for citizens and the community through employment, recognition of undeveloped areas etc.

The editorial team of eKapija has started selecting candidates for the award, and interested companies may apply by themselves by filling out the form at www.aurea.rs. Following the analysis of the sent applications, the shortlisted projects will be presented on www.ekapija.com and www.aurea.rs, and the winner will be selected by an expert, impartial jury, whereas one online vote will be given by the readers of eKapija and visitors of aurea.rs. In addition to the main award, two special acknowledgments – innovation and social usefulness – will be handed out as well.

The eKapija business portal has been handing out the Aurea award for nine years in a row as part of its orientation towards socially responsible business, without any financial interest, and with the aim of promoting and supporting projects important for a sustainable development of the Serbian economy.
