Societe Generale revoked deposit for dinar loans - deposit for loans with foreign currency clause raised to 30%

Starting today, SocieteGenerale Bank Serbia will be applying new crediting terms for citizens.

In accordance with the new measures ofthe National Bank of Serbia,the deposit of 20% for cash loans in dinars will be revoked, while the depositfor loans with foreign currency clause will be increased from 20 to 30%.

Theincrease in deposit concerns the following categories of loan with foreigncurrency clause: cash loans, loans for refinancing, credit cards, allowedoverdrafts and consumer loans, while the down payment for consumer loans andloans for procurement of new and used vehicles will also be increased from 20 to30%.


- The aim of these measures of the National Bank of Serbia is to directcitizens to the loans without foreign currency clause. Having in mind bigdifference between the interest rates for dinar loans and the interest ratesfor the loans with foreign currency clause, the citizens are now able to decideeither for higher amount or for lower interest rate - says Miroslav Rebić, amember of the Executive Board of Societe Generale Bank Serbia.
