Text neck new global ailment – Negative consequences of using smartphones

The European group of physiatrists and medical specialists Eurospine, which deals with spine diseases, has warned of the negative consequences of using smartphones.

The stiffness of the neck, the so-called text neck, will soon become a global ailment of new generations of the young.

The term is used to describe the neck pain and potential damage as a consequence of constantly looking downward over a long period of time. The long-term consequences are neck discomfort, pain, stiffness and headache.

As Eurospine says, the text neck symptoms need to be monitored carefully, as they are growing increasingly more serious, seeing how they affect young generations, reports Pharmanetwork.
