(Bum Seop Lee) Bum Seop Lee has been appointed new CEO of LG Electronics Central and East Europe, with an office in Budapest.
The company's report says that the new regional CEO will coordinate the activities of the company in ten countries, including, in addition to Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Before he was appointed to the new position, Bum Seop Lee was CEO of LG Romania, and, before that, he used to gather experience working in offices in East Europe, North America, CIS, as well as the Middle East and Asia.
The vision of the new regional CEO is to strengthen LG's leading position in CEE markets by fostering talented local people and team work, as well as by presenting and implementing technological innovations. Regarding innovative products, it's important to mention a range of modern devices recently presented at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), where the company won 21 awards.
– I am extremely determined in my intention to raise employee competence to a greater level so that we would be consistent in making the brand stronger and, finally, accepted as the best company in the region. I believe that our leading innovations, such as the premium LG Signature products, including OLED TVs and Twin Wash machines, as well as Ultra Stretch Monitor Signage, UltraWide monitors, but also Multi 5 air conditioning systems, will contribute to achieving this goal – said Bum Seop Lee.
Lee spends his free time engaging in sports – he prefers tennis and table tennis – or traveling, in which case he uses each free moment to enjoy the nature. Until early 2017, the regional CEO was Youngnam Roh, who was appointed CEO of LG Home Appliance & Air Solution India following a successful cooperation with the Hungarian office.
