Delegation of "Opela" ended visit to "Zastava" - negotiations about privatization to follow

After three-day visit to "Zastava", managers and experts from company "Opel", which operates within US "General Motors", left Kragujevac yesterday (April 10, 2008). During their three-day stay, they talked about conditions of the forthcoming tender privatization of Automobile Factory, which should be offered to the potential buyers by the end of the next week.

The talks with "Opel" about privatization of the only local automobile factory will soon be resumed.

During the past three days, representatives of several German companies, potential suppliers of production equipment that should be installed on the automobile body lines in the Automobile Factory, accompanied the delegation of "Opel" in "Zastava".

- German companies presented their products and welding equipment, that is, the equipment for assembling of automobile body. We reached the preliminary agreement on delivery of that equipment to our factory. In the next phase of negotiations, we will talk about the price of that equipment, which will be installed in unit "Karoserija" in Automobile Factory before the production of "Opel's" model "astra classic" starts - said the source close to the management of "Zastava vozila".
