Delta osiguranje to be sold to Generali gruppi Italia

Delta holding announced that the contract on sale of majority package of stocks of Delta Insurance (50% plus one stock) had been signed with Generali Group, the third biggest insurance company in Europe.

It is written in the announcement that it is the first arrival of one of the leading international insurance companoies on the market of Serbia. It is expected that new insurance technologies and European business standards will be transfered to Delta Insurance Company.

Generali Group was founded in 1831. It is present in 40 countries of the world and it realized annual premium of 56 billion EUR. On the other hand, Delta Insurance is the biggest private insurance company in Serbia, which realized growth of 71% and record profit of 231 million CSD on the insurance market in 2004.
