It is the people of Scandinavia, where temperatures are not exactly summery even in summer, who eat the biggest amounts of ice cream per capita.

Ice cream can and should be eaten in both summer and winter, especially after a big meal, writes Zadovoljna.

Doctors note that ice cream is not harmful to the throat or the respiratory or the digestive system in winter.

They even recommend increased consumption of ice cream in winter, compared to summer, precisely because of the differences in temperature between our bodies and the outside environment.

With its coldness, ice cream also mechanically alleviates sore throat symptoms.
