1.8 ha of land on sale in Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone – Interested investor planning to employ 120 people
(Subotica) Nearly two hectares in the middle section of the Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone in Subotica will be auctioned, as per Mayor Bogdan Laban’s decision. The ad for the disposal of publicly owned land through public bidding is open from December 30, and bids can be submitted by the end of January.
The city will auction 1.8 ha of land which can be connected to the sewer system, gas, water, electrical and information network, as well as a public traffic route. The starting price of the parcel has been defined based on market values in the zone and the estimate by the court expert and amounts to RSD 1,297.03 per square meter and RSD 23,347,869.30 in total.
The auction is scheduled for February 7, and potential purchasers need to pay the deposit of over RSD 7 million. The purchaser must also submit a proper request for the construction of a facility envisioned by the urban plan to the city within eight months of the signing of the sales and purchase agreement. An industrial facility is planned on the location.
According to the announcements from the City Administration, there is already a potential purchaser.
– We expect that 500 new workers will be employed in the Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone in 2017, in companies such as Continental and Ametek, but I also hope that the zone will get a new resident in early 2017, a company we have already signed a memorandum of understanding with. This company, whose name I don’t want to disclose for now, will take part in the auction of the remaining land in the zone. There is an interested buyer, then, and the new company will employ120 people – said Laban.
