The Government of Serbia approved the road toll price increase of 10% at the session held on December 30, 2016, and the new prices will start being implemented from January 7, at 7 am, as the Roads of Serbia informed Tanjug. The toll booths will be charging the old amount until then.

The Government approved the proposal by the Roads of Serbia for the road toll price increase of 10%.

A drive from Belgrade to Nis will now cost RSD 800 instead of RSD 730. A trip from the capital of Serbia to the Croatian border will cost RSD 375 instead of RSD 340, whereas the road toll from Belgrade to Novi Sad will amount to RSD 210.

On January 1, the road toll, currently amounting to RSD 140, started being charged on the Ljig-Preljina section.

The Roads of Serbia asked several times for the road toll price to be increased by 10%, with the argument that it hadn’t been changed since 2008, whereas the prices of materials, energy sources and equipment used to maintain highways and other roads kept increasing in the meantime.
