The decision about whether the state will accept "A-Tec's" request for extension of deadline will be made on April 9th by the Board for privatization of Mining Smelter Basin (RTB) "Bor".
On the basis of that decision, appropriate proposal will be submitted to the Government of Serbia for consideration at the first meeting - on Thursday, April 10.
The assistant to the Minister of Economy and REgional Development, Nebojša Ćirić, says for B92 that the privatization of RTB "Bor" is of national importance, not only to Bor-based basin, but also to whole Serbia, and that it has been decided that the decision should be made by the Board and that the Government of Serbia should make the final decision.
He repeated that, in case "A-Tec's" bid was rejected, Privatization Agency would start negotiations with the second-ranked bidder on the tender - Russian SMR, which is a part of "Basic Element", the company owned by Oleg Deripaska.
