The Second Municipal Court has made the decision in favor of city of Belgrade about registration of about 100 ha of land, of which value is estimated to 500m - 1 billion EUR, between Pančevo's bridge and Ada Huja. Former owner of this land is Port "Beograd".

If the second-level court confirms this decision, which would put it in effect, the new owners of Port "Beograd", Miroslav Mišković and Milan Beko, will be disabled to have a business-residential complex built on that exclusive land.

Strahinja Sekulić, the public counsellor of Belgrade, says that the ownership over every square meter whose owner is city of Belgrade will be determined accurately. On the other hand, President of Assembly of Port "Beograd", Nenad Popović, claims, however, that they did not get the court's decision on Friday (April 4, 2008) and that, after Port "Beograd" lodged complaint in 2002/2003, Regional Court changed the decision and returned the land to that company.

He announces that Port "Beograd" will lodge complaint again.

- The decision is illegal. Port "Beograd" had about 180 ha at its disposal before this decision was made and we are going to submit the evidence to the court - says Popović.
