Cable TV over Internet - service introduced by company "City media"

Company "City media" from Belgrade has launched a new service, thanks to which all Internet users will be able to watch TV channels from the territory of former SFRY disregarding both their location and whether cable TV exists in their places of residence.

That means that even the places with less that 100 inhabitants can have cable TV. Individual users who want to watch TV over Internet must have Internet connection of minimum 256 kb/s. Of course, the quality of image is better if Internet is faster, so that there are 4 resolutions that depend on bandwidth speed.

This service can be used on mobile telephone with GPRS connection, as well on IPOD that has TV out.

The users can get set-up box for free, which will help them transfer the signal from Internet to TV receiver.

Server "City media" has the capacity for 200 radio and TV channels and the number of users who can watch TV or listen to radio at the same time exceeds 1 million. There are currently about 50 TV and radio stations from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Montenegro in the offer.
