"Government of Serbia should decide about destiny of military institution Karađorđevo", that is the opinion of the commission of the Ministry of Defense of SCG that had to estimate the offer for 18-year rental of this once famous farm.
As president of that commission, assistant to the Minister of Defense of SCG in charge of material resources, General Major Milun Kokanović, announced, "MK Commerce", of which owner is Miodrag Kostić, was the only company that sent the offer.
His offer was unacceptable, but it was concluded that it does not meet one of the very important requirements - settling of the debt towards State. It is the debt of about 2.5 million EUR, i.e. 250 million CSD that Karađorđevo owes for unpaid contributions for employees and taxes - says General Kokanović and explains that the final decision on sale should be made by the Government of Serbia.
Let us remind you that the tender for sale of "Karađorđevo" was announced at the beginning of June and that the planned starting price for annual rent was 49.2 million CSD. The renter was also obliged to settle the debts of "Karađorđevo" towards State and the suppliers.
In the absence of Kostić, who is abroad at the moment, one of his closest associates announced that MK "Commerce" had accepted to take over the debt of 524 million CSD, because that debt had been mentioned in the open competition for rental of "Karađorđevo".
