Assembling unit for electric automobiles opened in Debeljača

In village of Debeljača, Municipality of Kovačica, the first unit for production and assembling of vehicles with batteries in Serbia was officially opened yesterday (April 3, 2008).
Company "Globus auto", in association with Chinese partner, has started production of the first Serbian automobiles that spend 100 RSD worth of energy for travelling 100 km.
According to the plans, as Stanko Kovačević, the CEO of "Globus auto", explained, this unit will develop complete production by the end of the year.
Assembling of about 500 motorcycles is planned for the next three months. For the time being, vehicles are only assembled to the order. About 100 scooters have already been sold and, depending on the model, their prices range between 1,000 and 1,200 EUR.
