Drone to be monitoring debtors in Cacak

In a few years, the duties of a municipal services monitoring officers in Cacak will be performed by an unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with a camera.

The drone will be filming buildings and parcels, calculate the areas to the millimeter, and store all the data in the main database – the city computer.

It was precisely this drone that was brought to the small hall of Cacak's Beograd hotel during the conference about information technology, held on the occasion of 608 years of the oldest preserved mention of Cacak. It was not able to fly on the occasion, however, as limited space and rarefied air caused concern that it would escape the navigator's control.

– The purpose of the gathering follows the intention of the city authorities to use a certain methodology to form a unified I.D. card containing recognizable references for all citizens using the services. The reference number would be listed in the computers of all service providers in the city, and the intention is for the technology to spread throughout Serbia. None of our cities have reached this level, except for Belgrade when it comes to Infostan services – says Ljubomir Sikora, director of PUE Komunalac in Cacak, for Politika.

Two public enterprises in Cacak have accepted the challenge, PUE Komunalac and PUE Cacak, mostly due to discrepancies in the data available to them.
