EBRD to invest up to 260m EUR in Serbia in 2008

- European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD) plans to invest between 220 and 260m EUR in Serbia in 2008, which will help it remain one of the most important creditors in the country - the CEO of EBRD for Serbia, Hildegard Gacek, announced.


- Of that amount, EBRD plans to invest about 40m EUR in financial sector in Serbia - said Gacek and specified that that money would be allotted to local banks in form of new credit lines for small and mid-sized enterprises and for mortgage loans, in form of investments in insurance companies and in form of new additional capitalizations of the banks.
