Nelli increasing production by 40% – Opening of new facility for production of chocolate in March 2017

The assembling of the latest equipment for the production of chocolate is currently in progress in the Loznica-based confectionery factory Nelli. The equipment is to be put into operation in March 2017. The new line will be packing 40 thousand 5.5 gram chocolates in an hour, as well as ten thousand 100 gram chocolates. The production will increase by 40% next year, and the new line will bring Nelli's capacity to eight thousand tons.

Since its foundation, Nelli has been constantly growing, expanding its range of products and improving the quality. They will continue to do so next year as well by establishing a new chocolate factory, whose products will match the most famous world brands in quality and packaging.

– In the confectionery industry, quality depends exclusively on the machines, which are very expensive, which is why we've purchased the latest equipment from the best world manufacturers. Their value amounts to around EUR 3 million. We are currently assembling the equipment and we expect the production to start by March 2017 – says the owner of the company, Mitar Obradovic.

As he points out, the next year is expected to be the best ones since the foundation.

– We will increase the production by 40% in 2017. We have 1,550 tons a year now, with our new line we will have a capacity of eight thousand tons, and we will be producing 2,500. I expect the company to grow by 25% next year – Obradovic said and added that the new line will enable the production of 40 new products.

Nelli's products are also present in the markets of the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Romania and Hungary, and they are growing increasingly present on the shelves of stores in Russia as well.

The company has around 250 employees, and the opening of the new chocolate factory will create 50 new jobs. With 300 workers, Nelli will be the biggest local employer in the area and a company with a range of a hundred products.

Before the opening of the new factory, Obradovic is planning to carry out the construction of a distribution center, perform some other significant works within the company and introduce innovations which will improve the company's visual identity.
