"Telekom Srbija" plans gross profit in amount of 19.3 billion RSD


- Business plan of “Telekom
Srbije" for year 2008 anticipates gross profit in amount of 19.3 billion RSD, which is
the increase by over 50% when compared to year 2007 – said the Manager of the
sector for budget and control in the Directorate for Economic Affairs of “Telekom",
Aleksandra Đorđević, yesterday (March 30, 2008).
She pointed out that the plan, which was adopted by the Government of Serbia on March 6, anticipated total incomes in amount of 87.5 billion RSD in 2008, that is, the growth of incomes by 13% against the year 2007. Đorđević pointed out that the income had been projected in accordance with the existing rate policy, as well as that the structure of incomes, from year to year, showed increasing participation incomes from mobile telephony.
Total expenses of the company in
2008 are at the level of 68.2 billion RSD, which represents the 4% growth against
the year 2007. In that way, as she pointed out, the rate of growth of incomes will
be significantly higher than the rate of growth of expenses. Projected incomes
in field of landline telephony and Internet amount to 48.9 billion RSD, with
the expected growth of 11%. Connecting of about 110,000 new users is in the
pipeline, which will raise the number of users of landline telephony to 3
million.
According to the words of Đorđević, ”Telekom" anticipated intensive development of Internet through sale of 190,000 new ADSL connections, so that the national provider would have about 330,000 users of ADSL at the end of the year.
Expected number of new users in mobile telephony is 540,000, and it is expected that the growth of number of business users will be larger. At the end of the year, “Telekom" should have 5.8m mobile telephony subscribers.
In addition to growth of number of subscribers, according to Đorđević, "Telekom" also plans launching of new services and, in that way, it expects incomes in amount of 36.1 billion RSD and the growth by over 20% in field of mobile telephony.
