Not long after the completion of the first phase of paving new traffic routes in the industrial zone, negotiations about the arrival of investors to Bela Crkva started. The Italian investor sent to the local self-government a letter of intent to raise a footwear factory in which 300 workers would be employed as soon as 2017.

The meeting in which details were discussed regarding the construction of the factory and the dynamics of the employment followed.

– We are working at an increased pace on the industrial zone and adapting it to its designated use in order to secure the conditions for investors and employment of the young from our area. The investor has announced that the construction will be carried out in stages, the first of which should start in mid-February – pointed out Marjan Aleksic, president of the Municipal Assembly of Bela Crkva.

– The construction of the factory will enable the creation of 300 new jobs, with projected 500-550 employments in the next three year, which means securing as many families, raising the standard of living for numerous citizens and business entities and a strong incentive to make further steps, as things won't stop there – he added.

There are good intentions on both sides, and the realization depends on the investor primarily. The local self-government is doing everything in its power to enable the realization of this project.

The Bela Crkva Industrial Zone covers an area of 15 hectares and will be fully equipped with utilities by mid-2017 with the aid of higher authorities. Germany's Flamat has been successfully operating there for several years.

The public procurement procedure for the second paving phase using the funds allocated at the contest by the Capital Investments Office in the amount of RSD 7.8 million is in its final stages. Parallel to this, works on installing the electrical system, public lighting and the sewer system are being carried out in the industrial zone, showing that the local self-government is serious in its intention to revive the industry in Bela Crkva.
