EBRD organizes public discussion about revision of its policies

European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD) has announced that it will organize public discussion tomorrow (March 28, 2008) in Belgrade on the occasion of revision of its environment protection policy, social policy and public informing policy.

EBRD is carrying out revision of the environment protection policy and social policy for the sake of promotion of environment protection and sustainable development, as well as the public informing policy, with the aim of provision of transparency of its activities.

Revision represents an intensive process that includes consulting with relevant interested parties.

Reexamining of the environment protection policy and social policy makes it possible for the bank's clients to get clearer picture of what the bank requests from them and what their responsibilities are, as well as what the bank's responsibilities are.

The second policy that will be discussed is the policy of public informing. Among the other innovations, the new draft of the public informing policy includes a part where the bank presents information on the environment protection.

The consortium, led by the Regional Environment Protection Center for central and east Europe, will organize public discussions in Belgrade, Biškek, Budapest, London, Moscow and Tbilisi.
