Shipments through mobile app – DHL Serbia develops innovative solution for paying for services

The company DHL presented its innovative software solution called mDHL for paying for shipments through mobile phones at the ceremony organized on December 6 to celebrate 25 years of the company's operations in Serbia.

On this occasion, a plaque of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) was delivered to the company for its successful operations in Serbia.

The mDHL app is the result of the strategic cooperation of DHL Serbia and the local IT company Execom. As stated in the CCIS report, DHL Serbia is the first one of the members of the DHL Group to develop such a system for paying for services, which is another confirmation of the company's orientation toward innovations and development.

Thanking the CCIS for the plaque, the director of DHL Serbia, Darko Babic, expressed his satisfaction with what had been achieved up till then, but also announced that DHL Serbia would strive to be even better and more efficient in the years ahead.

– A lot of work, energy and adjustments, remarkable dedication to work and the vision of success of DHL Serbia were necessary in order for us to be successful and to develop. Today, a quarter of a century later, DHL Serbia is the best company within the DHL group in its category in Europe – Babic stated.

General Manager of the CCIS, Milan Vranic, said that everything that DHL Serbia had accomplished was at the same time a confirmation that Serbia had the sort of business environment which enabled market-oriented companies to be successful. This way, DHL confirms that there's high quality, expert work force in Serbia, educated young people familiar with foreign languages and possessing technical and technological knowledge, as well as professional management, Vranic added.
