Skopje procuring 50 electric transit buses – Tender open till December 18

Javno Saobracajno Preduzece Skoplje (Public Transport Enterprise Skopje) intends to procure 50 electric buses for public passenger transport in early 2017.

The plan is to procure 20 articulated electric buses and 30 mini-buses, and potential suppliers have been invited to send a letter of intent for participating in the public procurement procedure by December 18.

The international tender will be carried out in cooperation with the City of Skopje and the Government of Macedonia in early 2017, JSP says and points out that the main purpose of the procurement is environmental protection and more efficient public transport.

The capital of Macedonia has been considered as one of the most air-polluted cities in Europe in the past years.
